I like winning

Call me a contest whore. I fully admit to pimping out this blog for (at least at the present time) the sole purpose of contest eligibility. But if anyone who has followed my links here in the past check back on this site, dripping with anticipation, well... actually, I'd kinda feel sorry for you.

But if you do, then you are also awesome. And probably write, as well. Then I'd like to point you to a wicked cool contest that everyone in their right mind would kill to win. See the details here: Super-dee-duper Contest.

And while you're at it, check out Roni and Julie's blogs that have been added to the roll on the right.

Oh, and keep being awesome!

Worst Story - take two

Way late on posting this follow up, but let's be honest here* - this blog only exists for contactability.
(* "Let's" = "let us", where "us" = me plus any inner monologue I feel like adding since I'm the only one here)

Okay, onward with the post. Yay! I upped my standing and finished in second place this time.

After losing her title at the International Envelope Sealing Championships, Pearl Tuck is determined to train her way back to the top, no matter how many popsicles and stamps she has to lick along the way, until a tragic incident with a frozen lamp post threatens her taste for victory.

Now I've got to put that renewed Writers Market subscription prize to good use and start querying again...

Worst Story Ideas

Guide to Literary Agents blog is hosting another "Worst Storyline" Contest. I was pleased to get an honorable mention last time for the riveting:

Leonard the narcoleptic snail sets out on his lifelong dream of running the Boston Marathon while humming "Macarena," and invites you to join the excitement in real time.

Here's hoping for an even better finish this time!
